An Excellent Transfer!

Well, it’s been a great time here in Bakersfield, I’ve got to know a
bunch of cool people. I just received a phone call today that I am
getting transferred to the Camarillo 5th and 6th wards and am very
excited for my new area. Just in time to escape the Bakersfield heat!
This last week was amazing. We had 3 Baptisms on Saturday and it was
amazing. This was one of the nicest services I’ve been to. Every seat
was filled and the spirit there was so strong. Elder Juarez started
off the baptism with a beautiful musical number. After the baptism,
the dad of the 3 who were baptized bore his testimony and that hit
everybody pretty hard. It all went so well. After the baptism we went
to the ward mission leaders home for an open house. It was very nice.
After the open house we went over to an Investigators home and did
some service. We put up part of a chain link fence and did a bunch of
yard work. It worked out great because the investigator was able to
make up the time from going to the baptism with all the work that had
to be done. It was also pretty fun.
On Sunday I was able to confirm all three of the people who were
baptized members of the Church. At first it was a little scary having
to do that in front of the congregation but it went great.
Anyway, That’s all the time I have on email for today. Keep the
letters coming 🙂
